The Curious J
The Curious J (Jorge) originates from Chicago. His sound is reflective of the sounds he grew up listening to in the inner city.
“My mixes are windows into my soul. To understand my mixes is to understand me – heart, mind, body, and soul. Don’t expect to hear too many “crowd favorites” during my show. I’m not playing for you… I’m playing for myself. Don’t expect to be bombarded with track after track of “soulful house”. House can be soulful… but house is many things. I come from the “schools” of deep, acid, hip house, afro and Latin beat.
My other musical interests are “tearing up the dance floor”, playing guitar, percussion, drums, and music in all of its forms. The Curious J is passionate about life and all things important in life – love, self awareness, peace, spirituality, balance, dance, education, art, food, sex, culture… and of course, house music.
